Dominic Smith Clubs Ninth Homer In Win
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder/first baseman Dominic Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Mets' 7-2 win over the Braves on Saturday. Smith's homer was his ninth of the season, a break out campaign for him. He is now slashing .329/.392/.632 through 44 games (41 starts) with nine homers, 41 RBI, and a 1.024 OPS. Smith's breakout is even more impressive considering the fact that the Mets utilized him as a part-time player when the season began. As we head into the final eight games of the season, the Mets will certainly keep Smith's bat in the lineup. He should remain active in all formats for managers making their last push for a fantasy title.
