Dominic Smith Hit By Pitch In Forearm
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Dominic Smith (knee, forearm) started Thursday evening's game against the Rockies despite his sore knee, and went 0-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch. Smith was drilled in his left forearm by Antonio Senzatela, and stayed in the game to run the bases. He was lifted later in a double switch. It is possible that this change was strictly for defensive purposes, but Smith normally would take over at first base in those situations. Regardless, it would not be surprising to see Smith sit out of Friday evening's game against Atlanta.
