3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Dominic Smith isn't starting on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers and left-handed starter Julio Urias. Smith is batting .255 with a .318 on-base percentage, 11 home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 409 plate appearances this season. It'll be Kevin Pillar starting in left field in place of Smith and hitting seventh against Urias. Pillar is hitting .211 with a .247 on-base percentage, nine home runs, and two stolen bases this season.
