3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman/outfielder Dominic Smith is not in the Mets lineup on Saturday for their contest against the Philadelphia Phillies and lefty Ranger Suarez. Perhaps it is a way for manager Luis Rojas to shake up a lineup that has been lethargic over the past week, but it is an odd decision. Smith hits better against lefties slashing .327/.381/.446 with two homers and 18 RBI in 101 at-bats against southpaws. While he does have nine home runs against righties, Smith is hitting just .229/.298/.368 against right-handers by comparison. Yet another odd decision for a team in a free-fall. Nevertheless, fantasy managers should make adjustments to remove Smith from active lineups in daily leagues and DFS formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
