Donte Moncrief A Risky Flex Play In Week 11
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Donte Moncrief has started to carve out his role in a receiving corps that has been crowded all year long. He has arguably been Jacksonville’s top receiver for a majority of games in recent weeks, however, that hasn't translated to consistent volume. His quarterback, Blake Bortles, spreads the ball around to a variety of targets, typically distributing the ball to around eight different pass catchers a game. This, in turn, leads to Moncrief being big-play dependent, as seen with his Week 10 stat line versus the Indianapolis Colts. In Week 10, he had three catches for 98 yards and one TD, with 80 yards and the TD coming on one play. As a result, you could risk throwing Moncrief in at flex in a non-PPR setting as he faces a rising Pittsburgh Steelers secondary, but do not be surprised if he produces below five points.
