Donte Moncrief Leaves Practice, Returns After Evaluation
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Donte Moncrief left Wednesday's training camp practice with a finger injury but later returned. According to Joe Rutter of The Tribune Review, Moncrief collided with cornerback Artie Burns on a pass. The pass catcher briefly left practice to be looked at by medical staff but later came back down to the practice field. Head coach Mike Tomlin seemed positive in his presser, and it's likely that Moncrief should be available to practice on Wednesday, after the team's off-day on Tuesday. Moncrief is fighting with second-year man James Washington to be the Steelers' WR2 and staying healthy is a top priority for the sixth-year receiver.
