4 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Dougie Hamilton was like a man possessed in Tuesday's matchup with the Red Wings, registering 11 shots on goal. To put it into context, Hamilton had 16 shots this month prior to the game. He also notched an assist in the 4-2 loss, to extend his point streak to nine games. The 27-year-old now leads all defensemen with shots on goal this season, having fired off 89 efforts. He's added 30 blocks and 24 hits while picking up 22 points in 28 games.
