Dougie Hamilton Nets Winner for Carolina

4 years agoThe Carolina Hurricanes evened the Stanley Cup Round 1 series against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night with a 3-2 victory. Dougie Hamilton, who recently completed his rehab from a broken leg, scored the winning goal midway through the third period. Teuvo Teravainen and Andrei Svechnikov also scored goals for the Hurricanes. James Reimer replaced Petr Mrazek in net for Game 2 and was excellent. He stopped 33 of 35 shots against him. The team was clearly frustrated as a number of questionable carried over from the first game. For Boston, Brad Marchand and David Krejci both found the back of the net and assisted on each other’s goals. Tuukka Rask allowed three goals on 26 shots. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
