5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees posted a video of himself tossing a football on Saturday evening. Brees remains inactive for the Saints Week 5 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It should also be noted that the ball Brees was throwing in the video seemed to be of the Nerf variety, so he still has a ways to go in his recovery. However, the fact that he is able to grip and throw any kind of football just a couple weeks post-surgery is an encouraging sign. The next step will be for Brees to return to practice. Friendly reminder to check your league's waiver wire and make sure Brees isn't out there for the taking.--Tim Capurso
