Drew Lock Should Make Expected Return As Starter Sunday
4 years agoSigns had been pointing toward Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) returning to the field as the starter for Sunday’s game versus New England, and that appears to be the case, barring a last-minute setback. Lock last appeared in Week 2 before a shoulder injury forced him to cede way to a combination of Jeff Driskel and Brett Rypien. Working against Lock is that in addition to Courtland Sutton’s (knee) absence, he now also doesn’t have Noah Fant (ankle) or KJ Hamler (hamstring) at his disposal. While the Patriots’ secondary has been unusually susceptible early on in 2020, Lock remains in a rough spot Sunday, with his ceiling likely being as a QB2 in multi-QB season-long leagues.
