6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz made the 25-man Opening Day roster and will be the fifth man in the rotation along with Madison Bumgarner, Derek Holland, Dereck Rodriguez and Jeff Samardzija. Pomeranz was absolutely awful last year for Boston, putting up a 2-6 record and a 6.08 ERA in 74 innings pitched. He's shown promise in the past, like in 2017 where he pitched for a 17-6 record and a 3.32 ERA, also with the Boston Red Sox. At the end of the day, he has some very good seasons to his name, averages 8.71 K/9 throughout his career, and is moving to a more pitcher-friendly ballpark making for a low-risk, high-reward option going into this year. Keep an eye on him throughout the year.--Caden Inaba
