4 years agoSan Diego Padres reliever Drew Pomeranz (knee) is fine despite exiting last weekend’s game after planting awkwardly. The move was precautionary and he’ll make his next scheduled outing. The 31-year-old journeyman found new life as a left-handed specialist in 2019 and will work from the bullpen in his second stint with the Friars. After flopping as a starter last season, Pomeranz was excellent in relief with a 1.88 ERA and .504 OPS against in 28 2/3 innings. He’ll have minimal value outside of holds leagues but could be functional in deeper formats if he maintains steady ratios.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
