6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Drew Pomeranz (neck) threw off of a mound on Friday afternoon. This is a massive step in the recovery process for the lefty, who has been on the disabled list since June 5. Red Sox manager Alex Cora has said it is unclear whether or not Pomeranz will go back into the starting rotation once he is healthy. Knuckleballer Steven Wright has filled in exceptionally during Pomeranz's absence. Pomeranz has a 1-3 record on the season as well as an ugly 6.81 ERA through 37 innings. He is sorely lacking in fantasy relevance right now, especially if he does indeed lose his job in the starting rotation.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
