7 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Drew Pomeranz has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to bicep tendinitis. Pomeranz was originally scheduled to start on Thursday against the Tigers, and the Red Sox have yet to announce who will be pitching in his place. Brandon Workman was recalled from Triple-A to take over the roster spot and will be pitching out of the bullpen. Pomeranz has had a rough season so far, posting a 1-3 record and 6.81 ERA across eight starts. There was hope that Pomeranz would be able to improve as the season progressed, but this injury further derails that possibility. He should only be rostered in leagues as deep as the Marianas Trench.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
