6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Drew Pomeranz is expected to throw a simulated game on Wednesday, but he will still need a minor league rehab assignment before he can come back to the team. Couple this with the recent injury to Steven Wright, and it seems likely that the Red Sox will have to throw together some sort of make-shift rotation using Brian Johnson or Hector Velazquez. Pomeranz was having a very disappointing year before his injury. He has a 1-3 record on the season with a 6.81 ERA. Perhaps he can get it back on track once he returns from the disabled list, but as of right now he should not be rostered.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
