2 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen was so close to throwing a perfect game during Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Orioles. He retired the first 24 batters before Jorge Mateo doubled to kick off the ninth inning. After that, Rasmussen was lifted from the game, but it was a fantastic effort. The 27-year-old has allowed three or fewer runs in 18 of his 20 starts this season. He didn't get the perfect game, but should continue being a reliable option down the stretch of the season.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
