4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Drew Rasmussen threw 1.1 shutout, hitless innings and struck out two Seattle Mariners on Sunday. He's having a solid spring with two runs allowed in seven innings (2.57 ERA). He's given up just three hits but has also walked four while striking out nine batters. Rasmussen has the ability to pitch as a starter or a reliever — but he's probably best suited to serving as a multi-inning reliever. He has swing-and-miss stuff but his command is inconsistent. He made his MLB debut last season and posted a 5.87 ERA in 15.1 innings but he also struck out 21 batters. Rasmussen can throw four different pitches and his fastball velocity was sitting just shy of 98 mph in 2020.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
