6 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Drew Smyly (elbow) has thrown up to three innings in simulated games and is hopeful to start a rehab assignment towards the end of July. Smyly is recovering from Tommy John surgery and signed a two-year contract with the Cubs this offseason. Smyly is unlikely to make a major impact in fantasy leagues this year, but he will be a name to remember entering 2019 drafts.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
