7 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Drew Smyly (elbow) has been shut down for the season. Smyly just didn't have enough time to make it back for the Cubbies. The left-hander has not pitched in the major leagues since 2016 with the Rays, but he could become an option for the team's rotation next season. Smyly probably won't be an option in fantasy drafts in standard-sized leagues heading into 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
