Drew Smyly Tosses Quality Start Versus Pirates
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Drew Smyly had one of his better outings of the season against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Smyly went six innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs, while striking out seven batters. He struggled heavily to start the season, but it appears Smyly is finally finding his groove. However, the Pirates offense isn't much of a test compared to most organizations. Nonetheless, Smyly will carry his 5.11 ERA into his next start versus the Boston Red Sox. Fantasy managers who are in desperate need of pitcher help might want to look at Smyly, but he's far from a reliable option.
