Drew Steckenrider Saves 14th Game Saturday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider came through in a big spot Saturday, allowing only a double to David Fletcher in his one inning of work against the Los Angeles Angels to secure a 6-4 victory and his 14th save of the season. He's now saved three games in the last five days and appears to have solidified his grasp on the closer role. He has not been scored upon in any of his last six outings, and his 2.03 ERA and 1.02 WHIP have been well worth the roster spot for fantasy managers who invested in the little-known reliever.
