4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider had a rough first outing of the 2021 season Friday against the San Francisco Giants. Steckenrider entered in the sixth inning of a tie game, and promptly allowed three runs on two hits and two walks while only recording two outs, both via strikeout. Steckenrider seemed to have very little command, and may now be the lowest reliever on a less-than-impressive bullpen depth chart in Seattle. Steckenrider has always had a strong strikeout rate, punching out as many as 14.02 batters per nine innings in 2017, but he's far from being useful for fantasy managers.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
