Durham Smythe Returning To Dolphins
3 years agoThe Miami Dolphins re-signed tight end Durham Smythe to a two-year deal on Friday. The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson is reporting that the deal is worth $8 million. The Dolphins have a crowded room at the position with Smythe, Mike Gesicki, Hunter Long and Adam Shaheen. Smythe caught a career-high 34 passes on 41 targets for 357 yards and no touchdowns in 17 games (12 starts) in his fourth season in Miami in 2021. In his four years with the team, he has only 73 receptions for 680 yards and two touchdowns on 95 targets in 63 total games. Unless Gesicki misses extended time with an injury, Smythe will continue to be off the fantasy radar.
