3 years agoThe Detroit Tigers designated catcher Dustin Garneau for assignment on Monday in a move to get down to a 26-man roster. Garneau hit .300 with a .364 on-base percentage in 11 plate appearances for the Tigers this season after batting .210 with a .250 on-base percentage and six home runs in 68 plate appearances for the club during the 2021 season. Detroit was carrying three catchers on the active roster but will now move forward with Tucker Barnhart and Eric Haase as options behind the plate at the Major League level.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
