6 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been put on the 10-day disabled list due to inflammation in his left knee. Pedroia, who had just recovered from off-season knee surgery, has only appeared in three games for the Red Sox this year and has tallied a single hit through 11 at-bats. Originally, it seemed Pedroia had a golden opportunity to produce in a talented Red Sox lineup, but he has become a risky fantasy proposition due to his injury-prone tendencies. With outfielder Mookie Betts also going on the disabled list, the Red Sox recalled Bobby Poyner and Sam Travis from Triple-A.
