Dustin Pedroia Set to Resume Baseball Activities in Near Future
6 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) has had his fair share of injury troubles so far this season. Thankfully, manager Alex Cora is confident that the four-time All-Star will be able to return sooner rather than later. Pedroia is currently dealing with inflammation in his left knee. The good news is that this particular injury has no relation to the surgery he had on his knee last October. The team is confident that he will be able to resume baseball activities within the week, although an exact timetable for his return is still unknown. In terms of fantasy relevance, Pedroia has only tallied a single hit across 11 plate appearances so far this season, but he still maintains moderate value due to how deep the Red Sox lineup is. As long as he can remain healthy, he will receive ample opportunity to bat in one of the best lineups in the American League.
