Dwight Smith Hits First Career Grand Slam Friday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Dwight Smith got things started for the O's in Friday's 9-6 win over the Giants, going 1-for-3 with a grand slam and two strikeouts. Smith took Drew Pomeranz deep in the first inning with the bases loaded and two outs. The 26-year-old started the season well but has cooled off in May and now has a .257/.302/.471 slash line with 10 HRs, 35 RBI and four stolen bases in 222 plate appearances. Smith has shown some fantasy potential but could be dropped for a hotter player, depending on fantasy players' needs.
