Dylan Bundy Faces Struggling Mariners Thursday
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Dylan Bundy had a terrific debut with his new squad last week, and will look to keep his momentum going versus the Mariners on Thursday. He allowed one run over 6 2/3 innings against the Athletics last Friday, striking out seven in the win. The M's have whiffed the fifth-most against right-handers this year (27.0% K-rate), and while they are currently league average in BA (.250), they had the third-worst mark in the majors a year ago (.235). With Bundy's new approach of using more off-speed deliveries instead of his fastball, he may have turned a corner in his career and is in a prime spot to dominate a below-average Mariners team on Thursday.
