Dylan Carlson Back In Lineup Against Diamondbacks
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson (toe) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, batting sixth while serving as the designated hitter against right-hander Humberto Castellanos. Carlson left the game early on Wednesday against the New York Mets after jamming his toe, but he's good enough to serve as the DH on Thursday. The 23-year-old started the year in the leadoff spot but has since been demoted while going 14-for-65 (.215) with no home runs, four RBI and 10 strikeouts in his first 16 games played. The good news is Carlson has gone 3-for-11 with a double, triple and two RBI in three games batting in the sixth spot in the order.
