Dylan Carlson Isn't Starting Friday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson will be on the bench for Friday's series opener against the Chicago Cubs and right-hander Cory Abbott. In 611 plate appearances for the Cardinals this season, Carlson is batting .263 with a .339 on-base percentage, 18 home runs, and two stolen bases. Harrison Bader is starting in center field in Carlson's place and is batting sixth. The outfielder could be worth a look as a streaming option for fantasy managers late in the season. Bader is batting .267 with a .324 on-base percentage, 15 home runs, and eight stolen bases in 389 plate appearances this season.
