Dylan Carlson Lands On IL With Sprained Wrist
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson (wrist) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a right wrist sprain, according to Zachary Silver of MLB.com. Silver reports that Carlson played through the injury during the Cardinals' series with the Pirates, and then missed all three games of their weekend series with the Royals. He'll be out for at least a week now, as the move is backdated to August 14. To replace him on the roster, the Cardinals have recalled outfielder Austin Dean from Triple-A Memphis. While Carlson is out, expect Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman to likely split time in right field.
