4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dylan Carlson (back) was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to back tightness, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Dispatch. Carlson had been observed talking with a trainer in the dugout and then doing some tests on the field before the move was made. Lane Thomas will replace Carlson in the lineup and bat eighth against the Cubs. Carlson has been looking good at the plate this year, slashing .291/.382/.424 with three home runs, 19 RBI and 26 runs scored over 44 games.
