Dylan Cease Falls Short Of No-Hitter
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease fell one out shy of a no-hitter on Saturday night as his team went on to a 13-0 victory over the Twins. The right-hander walked just two baserunners entering the ninth inning, but a Luis Arraez single to right field ended his bid at history. Cease still finished out the ballgame to complete the 103-pitch shutout, striking out seven batters in the performance. He now owns a superb 2.13 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 197 K through 156 IP on the year as he'll look to keep up his dominance in a road matchup versus Oakland next week.
