Dylan Cease Issues Three More Walks
4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease lasted a season low 3 1/3 innings on Friday versus the Texas Rangers. Cease's offense got him an early 5-0 lead, but Cease was fighting command issues all night. Cease allowed three hits, two runs, three walks and struck out five on the evening. The young right-hander is very talented, but longevity and walks have hurt his fantasy value. Cease has yet to go past 4 2/3 innings this season and has allowed 12 walks and 20 strikeouts in four starts over 17 1/3 innings. Cease has plenty of talent, but hasn't offered much to managers outside of strikeouts this season. He is worth holding onto in dynasty leagues, but those in deeper leagues can cut the cord if someone more promising is sitting on the waiver wire. Cease will look for his first win of the season versus a weak Detroit Tigers offense on Thursday.
