Dylan Larkin Missing Thursday's Game With Back Injury
6 years agoDetroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin (back) will not play in Thursday's contest against the New York Rangers. Head coach Jeff Blashill says the issue has been lingering for a while and that Larkin is day-to-day for now. The 22-year-old has enjoyed a marvelous campaign despite the lack of talent surrounding him. Larkin has 27 goals, 35 assists, 14 power-play points, and 65 penalty minutes through 65 games. He only needs to register two more points in the remaining 15 games to set a new career high. Larkin has become a legitimate C2 for fantasy purposes that still has room to grow. In his absence, Jacob de la Rose will center the top line between Tyler Bertuzzi and Anthony Mantha while Andreas Athanasiou will see an increase in ice time. Athanasiou, in particular, is a solid budget player in DFS contests on Thursday.
