Dylan Moore Continues To Struggle
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dylan Moore has had a dreadful start to the season, slashing .113/.243/.226, and perhaps his lowest moment came on Monday night against the Houston Astros. After starting the day 0-for-2, Moore was pinch-hit for in the top of the ninth with utility man Sam Haggerty. While Astros closer Ryan Pressly is a tough righty, and the lefty Haggerty has been hot lately, Haggerty is a fringe major leaguer at best. Moore has clearly fallen in esteem since his breakout 2020, and it's fair to wonder if his playing time will diminish. He's still a hold for now, but in shallow leagues managers may want to explore other options.
