Eagles Hope Coaching Changes Can Ignite Offense
5 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles will look to rejuvenate their offense by incorporating some principles from Rich Scangarello, who was hired as a senior offensive assistant. Scangarello was formerly the quarterbacks coach for Kyle Shanahan with San Francisco, so he will look to "Shanahan-ize" an offense that has taken steps back since finishing as the third-ranked scoring offense in 2017. Head coach Doug Peterson said he wants the offense to not only run faster, but he wants to find ways to maximize the speed they have on the field. Scangarello will spend a lot of time in the QB room which would be good news for Carson Wentz, as well as rookie Jalen Hurts whom the Eagles drafted in the second round.
