7 years agoSeattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas will not report for the start of training camp as he pushes for a contract extension, according to a source. Seattle doesn't really care and have said there is "zero chance" they will give Thomas a new deal, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Things have gotten bad between the two sides, and the Seahawks high asking price in a trade has deterred other teams from landing Thomas. He's in the final year of a four-year, $40 million deal. Thomas is one of the last remaining pieces of the vaunted Legion of Boom defense in Seattle. He's missed some time with nagging injuries the last several seasons, but he's still productive when healthy.
