7 years agoSeattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas would like to finish his career with the team, and he's confident they can work out another contract extension, but he would be willing to hold out to get one. "As far as my future in Seattle, I think if they want me, you know, money talks. We'll get something accomplished. Other than that, I'm just taking it one day at a time," Thomas said. He's currently unaware of any contract talks with the team so far, and he's entering the final year of a four-year, $40 million extension he signed after the 2013 season. Thomas is due to make $8.5 million in 2018. After playing in full seasons each of his first six years in the league, Thomas has missed seven games the last two seasons due to injury, and he played in 14 games in 2017. Thomas remains one of the best all-around safeties in the game, but age and injuries may continue to slow him down moving forward. With he and cornerback Richard Sherman back healthy in 2018, Seattle's defense should return to being a powerhouse.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
