Eddie Rosario Jacks Up the A's to Break Twin's Losing Streak
5 years agoLosers of their last three games and down 3 - 1 in the sixth inning, the Minnesota Twins needed a spark to get their sputtering offense back on track. Left-fielder Eddie Rosario provided that spark and more, entering as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning and crushing a 414-foot three-run home run on the first pitch he saw from A's reliever, Yusmeiro Petit. With 20 home runs on the year but only three since the start of June; fantasy owners will hope that Rosario uses tonight's go-ahead blast as a launching pad for a return to power.
