2 years agoFormer New York Jets kicker Eddy Pineiro visited with the Carolina Panthers on Saturday. The Panthers recently lost Zane Gonzalez to a groin injury and placed him on Injured Reserve, so they'll need to bring in a new kicker before the start of the regular season. Pineiro was cut by the Jets this week after he lost out in the kicking competition to Greg Zuerlein this summer. The 26-year-old made 23 of his 28 field-goal tries and missed only two of his 29 extra-point attempts in 16 games for the Chicago Bears back in 2019. In five games with Gang Green last year, he knocked in all eight of his field goals and missed one of his 10 extra points. Pineiro will be one to avoid in fantasy if he lands in Carolina.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
