4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eduardo Escobar continued his recent cold streak on Sunday, finishing 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout in a 4-2 loss to the Mets. Escobar has watched his average drop 30 points in the month of May, as he is slashing .111/.172/.148 in eight games this month, and he is hitless over his last 15 at-bats. He had been on fire at the plate early on this year with seven home runs in April, but he has not homered since a doubleheader on April 25. He'll look to try and right the ship in his next game on Monday night, when the Diamondbacks open a series with the Marlins.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
