6 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Eduardo Escobar went 2-for-4 with two RBI in his team's 19-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. Escobar is now slashing .274/.328/.512 with 14 homers, 35 doubles, 41 runs, and 57 RBI. He cooled off significantly at the end of June and beginning of July but he's rounded back into form over the past seven games, hitting over .300 with seven RBI. Escobar will be a free agent after the season and is likely to be traded to a contender at the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. He will take on Rays starter Ryne Stanek on Sunday in the final game before the All-Star break.--Matt T - RotoBaller
