2 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar left Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with left side tightness. Escobar is expected to go for imaging to see the extent of his side injury. The 33-year-old infielder was replaced in the lineup by Luis Guillorme, who entered the game at second base with Mark Canha shifting over to third base from the outfield. Escobar is hitting .220 with 12 homers, 41 runs, and 43 RBI across 369 at-bats in 2022. Look for the Mets to update his status after Friday's game concludes.
