Eduardo Escobar Stays Hot On Monday
7 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar continued his hot start to the season on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Escobar went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and one RBI in a losing effort. The 29-year-old infielder is now slashing .385/.385/.769 with a homer, two doubles and three RBI in the early stages of the season. Escobar will be the Twins primary shortstop while former starter Jorge Polanco serves his 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs and should provide some cheap power numbers from the shortstop position in deeper leagues.
