Eduardo Escobar Up To 32 Doubles
7 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman/shortstop Eduardo Escobar continued his ridiculous season on Tuesday. Escobar went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run and three RBI to help defeat the Boston Red Sox. The big game raises Escobar's batting average to .305 with a .941 OPS, 12 homers, 32 doubles, 35 runs and 48 RBI. Escobar's 32 doubles lead all of baseball and put him well ahead of Jose Abreu, who is second with 26. Escobar, who needed Jorge Polanco's performance-enhancing drug suspension to earn an everyday role, should make his first career All-Star game this season.
