Eduardo Rodriguez Doesn't Allow A Run Friday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez got his second half started on the right foot, allowing no runs on two hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings against the New York Yankees Friday. He struck out eight batters. This performance should be encouraging to fantasy managers, as Rodriguez endured an awful, if unlucky, first half. This outing drops Rodriguez's ERA and WHIP to 5.19 and 1.33 for the season, with 112 strikeouts in 95 1/3 innings. If Rodriguez can build on this successful start, his second half could be very helpful to fantasy managers, especially if he keeps up the excellent strikeout rate.
