Eduardo Rodriguez Underwhelms Against Rays
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez faced a tough task Tuesday, and it showed, as he allowed six runs on eight hits and no walks in 3 2/3 innings against the division-leading Tampa Bay Rays. He struck out three batters and took the loss, dropping his record to 11-8. Before this contest, Rodriguez had posted quality starts in three of his last four outings, and seemed to be turning a corner. Rodriguez has been unable to string together any success this year, and remains a risky play the rest of the way with his 5.15 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 159 strikeouts in 136 1/3 innings.
