Edwin Diaz Locks Down Five-Out Save
4 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz was credited with the save Sunday, after he got the last five outs to preserve a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. It's only the second five-out save of his career. Diaz hit the first batter he faced in the eighth inning, and then managed to induce an inning-ending double play before striking out the side around a dropped pop-up in the ninth inning. With his fifth save of the year in the books, Diaz has once again shown that he is one of the most dominant relievers out there, and should be in fantasy lineups week in and week out.
