4 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz earned his seventh save of the season on Tuesday in the Mets' 4-3 win over the Atlanta Braves. Diaz worked a clean ninth inning, striking out two batters. He is now a perfect 7-for-7 in save opportunities this season, despite recent struggles in non-save opportunities. Diaz now owns a 3.63 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and a 21:6 K:BB in 17 1/3 innings pitched on the season. Notwithstanding an inflated ERA thanks to some rough outings in non-save situations, Diaz remains a top relief pitcher option in all fantasy formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
